Stumbling upon a place of significance by pure coincidence makes the found item all the better, and this is exactly what happened with the Palace Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. Yup, you're looking at one of the filming locations to Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' video.

🎶 It's close to midnight, and something evil's lurking in the dark, Under the moonlight, you see a sight that almost stops your heart 🎶
It was actually close to 2 am when I recognized this marquee after exiting a nearby nightclub (Clifton's Republic, which I also recommend) in downtown L.A. It's one of six filming locations for the music video and lived a (very) short life on screen. The exterior shots when Michael and his girlfriend leave the movie early and he mocks her for being scared, well, there it is...
FYI, this scene was NOT filmed at the Palace 🧟♂️
The popular Michael Jackson meme and all other interior theatre scenes were filmed inside the Rialto Theatre in Pasadena, California.
COOL RANDO FACT
The Palace opened as a Vaudeville theatre in 1911 and is the oldest remaining original Orpheum theatre in the U.S.
