Have a Nice Day at the Twin Arrows Trading Post - Route 66 (Arizona)

It's not uncommon to find a stop off old Route 66 in a state of disrepair. After the main road was rerouted, many businesses were forced to shutter, a fate Twin Arrows, AZ could not escape.

Then....

Established in the 1940's, the trading post opened as 'Canyon Padre Trading Post', and offered travelers a place to stop for gas, food, and gifts.

It changed owners sometime in the 50's and was renamed 'Twin Arrows Trading Post' adding the two large arrows that still make this stop popular among route 66 enthusiasts to this day.

Now...

A shell of what it used to be, the trading post now serves as a canvas for graffiti artists.
